Important! - Read the entire instructions before proceeding. If any of it does not make sense or is not in your skillset, please have an experienced technician perform the install. Turbo intake systems and other vehicle components get extremely hot! Only perform work when vehicle and engine have cooled to room temperature.

 

Component list:

  • Silicone Charge Tube
  • Map Sensor Mount w/ 5mm Allen bolt
  • 3 Clamps / Zip Ties
  • Turbo smart Blow-Off valve
  • 2 Clamps

Tools required:

  • T-25
  • 7mm socket
  • T-40
  • 10 mm socket
  • ¼ socket or screwdriver
  • 11mm or 7/16 Socket
  • 5mm Allen Wrench
  • Side Cutter
  • Silicone Spray Lube

 

  1. Remove the 4 bolts (T40) from the bed liner. Then remove the bed liner. (Recommended to clean out the engine bay so no loose debris can fall into the turbo or engine plenum.)
  2. Remove the clutch air tube by loosening the clamps on both ends of the tube. This allows for better access to the charge tube.
  3. Remove seats by using the release lever underneath the seats.
  4. Remove the access panel using the 4 turn locks along the top of the panel.
  5. Remove Heatshield behind the access panel with 10mm socket (4 bolts. 3 bolts will be removed at this step and the final will be removed in step 7)
  6. Remove the passenger side rear heat shield next to the exhaust (2 bolts)
  7. Remove the final bolt on the front heat shield & slide it off to the side.
  8. Loosen the 2 charge tube clamps on either end of the charge tube (11mm or 7/16)
  9. Remove the single-use clamps (3) from the blow-off valve. (Note: Be sure not to get dirt in your turbo system)
  10. Remove the bolt securing the map sensor (T25). Then remove the Map Sensor and placing it to the right of the charge tube.
  11. Remove the old charge tube by lifting off the end on the engine plenum side (rear of the vehicle) then twisting and sliding the charge tube off the turbo end and carefully sliding the charge tube to the rear. (Note: Be sure not to catch the wiring harness or water line when you slide it out)
  12. Clean off around the turbo neck & engine air plenum neck. (Note: Be sure not to get dirt in your turbo system)
  13. Place the two clamps on either end of the Bikeman Silicon Charge Tube then install by sliding it from the rear to the front underneath the wiring harness and water line. Secure it to the turbo and air plenum neck by the charge tube clamps.
  14. Tighten the clamps on either end of the charge tube (11mm or 7/16)
  15. Clean off and lightly lube the O-ring of your map Sensor before installation.
  16. Install map sensor with the supplies 5mm Allen bolt.
  17. Align map sensor with the previous charge tube orientation.
  18. Secure map sensor clamp with a 1/4” socket or screwdriver.
  19. Install Blow-out valve Using the 2 supplied clamps. Connecting the air return side first for easier installation. (7mm)
  20. Connect the vacuum hose to the inlet on the top of the blow-out valve & secure it with a zip tie.
  21. Reinstall heat shields, access panel, seats, clutch air tube, and bed tray by going through steps 1-7 in reverse order.
